    Cortex 0.4.0

    New

    • Docker image for the server. A multi-stage NativeAOT Dockerfile, a compose.yaml and a .env.example are included.
      Start it with docker compose up -d --build. See docs/DEPLOYMENT.md.

    • Short environment variable names. The server now reads these directly, so they work in plain
      docker run / container UIs as well as .env:

      • CORTEX_CLIENT_TOKEN
      • CORTEX_OPERATOR_KEY
      • CORTEX_TRUSTED_PROXIES
      • CORTEX_ALLOWED_HOSTS

      The existing Cortex__ClientToken, Cortex__OperatorKey, Cortex__TrustedProxies and AllowedHosts still work and take precedence if both are set.

    Fixed

    • Docker files keep LF line endings on Windows checkouts, so image builds no longer break on CRLF.

    Upgrade notes

    • No wire-contract change, and no client or service reinstall is needed.
    • Docker users: rebuild the image. Containers started with the old image ignore the CORTEX_* names.
    • If you set CORTEX_TRUSTED_PROXIES, use your proxy's address or the Docker bridge range (e.g. 172.16.0.0/12), not 0.0.0.0/0.
